~ CHILDREN'S MINISTRY ~

God is truly moving in our children’s ministry here at Forest Grove! We have an exciting group of children worshiping and learning about our Lord together, which is compiled from both our church families and also from our bus ministry.

Our next major event will be a Valentine’s Party on Sunday night, February 14!

Sunday mornings are packed with learning experiences for the kids here at Forest Grove. After a traditional Sunday School class beginning at 9:15, we have a Memory Challenge Program that meets for a few minutes to commit scripture to memory. Our Memory Challenge participants learn anywhere from 4-10 verses a month, and are thrilled when they can recite whole chapters of the Bible! The memory challenge for February will be

1 Corinthians 13: 4-13.

After Memory Challenge, the children join the adults for the beginning of the worship service and then are released to the various children’s services. Wee Worship is for

children ages 7 and younger, Power Hour is for ages 8-12, and Teen Scene is for the

teens. (For more information regarding the teen classes and activities, see the Youth Ministry page.)

Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. will find the children together in the Fellowship Hall with Linda Rake and Monica Ware. The elementary age boys soon depart to their Royal Ambassadors class with Jim Howe and Joe Rynerson. They reconvene for snacks before heading for

home at 7.

Wednesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. are full of energy! The younger class is taught by Linda Rake. The Cool Cats is taught by Gary Adams with help from his wife Donna, Mark Hubbard, and Sharon Hall.

Although we encourage families to worship together, if circumstances prohibit your attending church at this time, and you would like your children to ride the church bus, please call our office and leave a message with the name, address, and a contact phone number.
