Jamaica - Feb. 2010

 

This communion devotion was given by Brother Jerry at the Old Harbour Church of Christ, near Kingston, Jamaica. Forest Grove sent three people down to Jamaica to help put some of the finishing touches on a church building that is almost complete. The scheduled dedication ceremony is set for August 1st. I apologize for the poor sound quality of the recording. We didn't have a proper opportunity to set up for a professional recording. JAMAICA

 

For the past several years, Forest Grove Christian Church has sent a team of people

down to Jamaica to share the gospel and provide shelter for needy families.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One thing that is always said of the people going on a mission trip...."I went to be a blessing to people that are in need. But I ended up receiving the biggest blessing." The genuine gratitude and sincere hearts of the Jamaican people will change you...and the way you look at life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Along with new house construction, teams often try to work in some repairs to older houses that have been affected by the hurricanes and heavy storms that Jamaica is known for.
