“SATURDAY NIGHT ALIVE”

The meeting that we have at Forest Grove Christian Church on Saturday night is a time of worship, praise and teaching of the Word.  It is a service that encourages folks to "come as you are".  The phrase, "come as you are" embodies not only the clothing you wear or spiritual condition, it also is saying,  “be who and what you are - transparent.”  What a blessed time to be able to worship quietly in your seat or to raise your hands or to stand, expressing your feelings and allowing your love for the lord to be offered as the spirit leads.

The music we worship with is based on what is mentioned in Ephesians 5:19, where it says: speaking to yourselves in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs....... The first three words in that verse are particularly interesting - “speaking to yourselves”. It’s worth noting that when we lift our praises to God, they have a positive effect on us.  The scripture says that God inhabits the praises of his people, so that, as the words of praise are formed in our heart, God inhabits the words before they ever leave our lips. Accompaniment is usually with keyboard, guitar and bass guitar.

The pastor is there each Saturday to bring the reality and benefit of Christian living from God's word and to be available as the need occurs. While there is planning for each service, there are many occasions when God leads in a different direction to address a particular situation. Our intent is to be pliable and flexible in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you have a Saturday night available, come and join other Christians as we gather for a spirit led time in the presence of the Lord. The service starts at 7:00pm.
