How do you pray?
Does this video seem unrealistic, or does this hit close to home?
How many hours are in a day?
How many hours do you spend with the Lord Jesus Christ?
Why do you pray?
Why do you worship?
Is it because you feel you have too?
Is it because you know you are suppose too?
Or, could it be simply because you want too?
How do you think that looks to God?
THE CELL: Sin has a way of trapping us in a prison of shame and guilt. However, Jesus offers us a way out. Can you escape "The Cell"?
ARE YOU AMAZED?: It is clear from the four gospels that wherever Jesus went, people were amazed. Whether they were rich or poor, young or old, sick or well, friends or>enemies — people were amazed at Jesus. This short video uses dramatic scenes from the award-winning film, “Jesus of Nazareth” and is accompanied by “Your Grace Still Amazes Me”, a praise song by Philips, Craig and Dean. As an interesting footnote, in the Bible (NIV) the word amazed is mentioned thirty-nine times, always referring to how people were amazed at Jesus. What is not commonly known is that there was one occasion where Jesus was also amazed. In Mark 6, Jesus returns to his hometown only to discover that many were opposed to him. In this context Jesus too is amazed — amazed at their lack of faith. The choice is ours — we will either be amazed by Him, or He will be amazed by us.
In our world today, we are bombarded by words and images that can drive us away from an eternal perspective. It’s easy to ignore the soft whisper of Christ’s words when the world is calling us to do what feels good. This short video clearly contrasts the disconnect between the lies of the world and the truth of Jesus Christ. For believers and non-believers alike, it will touch your heart and point you to the Cross. The world is constantly telling us to do, do, do. If the gospel of Jesus Christ were summed up into one word, it would be done.
We've all been there. We've been caught in a moment, a struggle, a relationship that was worth fighting for but seemed utterly hopeless. Almost 2,000 years ago, it was the darkest moment the world has ever known. The supposed Savior of the world had died a merciless death. It was literally over. Well, we know the rest of the story. And the miracle of the resurrection reminds us that nothing is beyond repair or beyond saving for God.
Together, Dick and Rick Hoyt have run in marathons, competed in triathlons, and once even trekked 3,700 miles across America. It’s truly astounding when you consider that Rick Hoyt is unable to walk or talk. But with Dick supplying the ability and dedication and Rick the inspiration and motivation, Team Hoyt exemplifies the power that is in “Together.” The Scriptures tell us “two are better than one” for God designed us to live in community and accountability with one another. Other Christians help reprove, refine, and ultimately reinforce our walk with Christ. Separated, we are weak. Together, we are strong.
We often mark our pasts by the regrets we have. Whether its trials we encounter, the disappointments we endure, or the unhealthy habits we foster, we each have lingering regrets in our lives. We allow ourselves to be burdened by our pain, scars and shame forgetting that Christ came to set us free.
